Brought to you by the Northampton Historic Preservation Society

Use the "Eastville Walking Tour" button below to access the full tour.  (You do not have to sign in.)  This walking tour is designed for using with a phone or ipad type device. When using your phone, you may wish to turn your phone's screen sideways for easier viewing.

Starting the tour at the Historic Northampton Court Green (close to the intersection of Courthouse Road and Willow Oak Road), you will learn about the County's unique records dating back to 1632 and all the historic buildings on the Green. Surrounding the Court Green, you will see restored professional and commercial historic buildings that served the County Government over the past three centuries.

Walking from the Court Green, you will go south along Courthouse Road to the home named Cessford, then back up Courthouse Road, turn on Willow Oak Road, and then return to Courthouse Road and go north to Christ Church. During your walk, you will learn about Eastville families from the 1700s and their homes, including two that were significant during the Civil War. You will also see other notable historical homes and commercial buildings and end the tour at Christ Episcopal Church. The map below is also provided in the tour.
